Sharing

Setting up multiple smartphones for your I LOCK IT enables you to use a bike with other people. A maximum of 8 devices, smartphones or key fobs, can be paired with I LOCK IT.

In order to share your bike with friends or family including your I LOCK IT, you can also create and share a color code in the I LOCK IT app. This does not require your friends to install the I LOCK IT app. This color code is not to be confused with the personal color code that you assigned during setup.

Attention:

Your personal color code should not be shared. This enables permanent access to your I LOCK IT using the app and the settings.

Pair Additional Smartphone:

Attention:

When sharing with other smartphones, full access to the settings of I LOCK IT is granted. Please only share your I LOCK IT with trustworthy people.

Share smartphone:

• Install the I LOCK IT app on the new smartphone, a new app account can also be created here
• Open the I LOCK IT app on the already set up smartphone
• I LOCK IT app → Menu → Settings → Share → Pair Additional Smartphone
• Confirm the message
• I LOCK IT is now in setup mode
• Follow the instructions in the I LOCK IT app on the new smartphone

Note:

Only one smartphone can be connected to I LOCK IT at the same time. If you don't get a connection, check if another smartphone is connected via Bluetooth. 

Sharing via Color Code:

• This color code only allows opening without installing the I LOCK IT app
• The settings of the I LOCK IT cannot be changed
• Connection mode is not possible, with the sharing color code.

Share color code:

• In order to generate a color code, your smartphone must be connected to your I LOCK IT
• I LOCK IT App → Menu→ Settings → Sharing → Create code → Share code
• After that, you can use known messengers to send your color code to friends
• To deactivate the code, the I LOCK IT app must be connected to your I LOCK IT
• I LOCK IT App → Menu → Settings → Sharing → Delete Code
• After that, the code can no longer be used
