Certain requirements must be met for live tracking:
- I LOCK IT GPS is activated and linked to the I LOCK IT app
- Battery is charged
- no Bluetooth connection to smartphone or keyfob
- Do not disturb mode disabled
- Alarm or silent alarm activated
- Alarm is triggered
- Cell phone network and GPS module have reception
- Authorization for notification via the I LOCK IT app assigned correctly
Duration:
Live tracking becomes active as soon as the alarm is triggered. It does not make a difference whether the normal alarm or the silent alarm is activated.
You will receive information by email to your email address registered in the I LOCK IT app, and also a message on your smartphone as soon as the alarm has been triggered.
- Alarm active: The current location is regularly transmitted to your smartphone and can be tracked in the I LOCK IT app
- Alarm ended: After a short waiting period, live tracking is deactivated to save energy
- Tracking is active as long as I LOCK IT GPS is powered by the battery. As soon as the battery is empty, live tracking ends

The accuracy of live tracking depends on
- the surroundings and
- the number of satellites used.
