When changing a smartphone, there are several ways you can link your I LOCK IT to the new smartphone:
A notice:
If you change your smartphone, the I LOCK IT app can be reinstalled, transferred from your old phone installed from a backup.
Variant A – Factory Defaults
- Restore your I LOCK IT to factory defaults with your old smartphone
- Now it acts like a new I LOCK IT and can be setup with the new smartphone
Variant B – Use the existing account with I LOCK IT GPS
- Log in to the I LOCK IT app with your existing I LOCK IT account. The data is then synchronized with our server and I LOCK IT can be used again
Variant C – Creation of a new account
- Log in with a new account on your new smartphone using the I LOCK IT app
- They can then share I LOCK IT with the new one using the I LOCK IT app on the old smartphone
Attention:
I LOCK IT+ need to be setup on the new smartphone when changing smartphones!
Either by resetting to the factory defaults and then setup following the instructions in the app or by establishing the connection mode using the personal color code!
A notice:
For security reasons, you should remove all I LOCK IT classic and I LOCK IT+ from the app on your old smartphone and then log out of the app.
This is the only way to make sure that your I LOCK IT can only be controlled with the new smartphone!
